You can use some natural termite treatments in northern Phoenix to get rid of termites when only a few have entered your walls. These natural methods can all prevent the arrival of new termites, so you can use them even if you don't see any signs of current termite infestation.).

  • Release Nematodes : Nematodes are parasitic worms that like to eat on termites. You can release them in a colony so that the worms can chew the termites that eat away at your house. You can usually find nematodes at local pet stores or chemical supply stores that sell termite solutions. Many online stores also sell nematodes, which allows you to shop around for the best price.Nematodes can attack your termite problem without introducing another pest problem into your home and without presenting other safety concerns. The chemicals used to treat termites can be harmful to your family and pets, so many people have concerns about their use.
  • Let the Sun Shine In : Termites are like little vampires. They actively avoid sunlight. In fact, exposure to direct sunlight can kill them. If you find a termite nest near your house, you can open it to expose the parasites to the sun. You can also transport logs, furniture or other infested items to an area of your yard that receives direct sunlight, thus killing termites and preventing their spread in your home. If you already find termites in your home, you can't exactly cut the wall and transport it to the middle of your yard. But you can rent or buy UV lamps that have the same effect as the sun's rays and make the lamps shine towards infestation. If termites penetrate deeper into the house, you may not be able to reach all of them, so sunlight may not be an effective solution for total eradication in some cases.
  • Apply botanical treatments: Each creature has natural enemies and poisons that will knock it down. For termites, one of them is orange oil, which contains d-limonene. This compound kills termites as soon as it hits them, making it a very effective treatment for termites in northern Phoenix. Just apply the orange oil directly on the termites and the affected area. You will be most successful on dry wood termites. You can also use neem oil to treat termites. You must apply the oil to the affected area, then wait for the termites to chew the wood with oil on it. Once the termites eat the oil, they are poisoned to death. You will probably need to apply neem oil several times to get rid of all the termites.
  • Sprinkle Borates on the Area: Borax powder, or sodium borate, can kill termites naturally. You simply sprinkle the powder on the termites and the affected area, or you make a solution of powder and water to spray or paint on the affected areas. You can also paint the solution on surfaces as a termite repellent. This is particularly effective for new construction, as it gives your home a good base of protection. You can also apply it to PDI projects such as furniture or shelves that you build yourself.
  • If you suspect a Termite infestation, contact an exterminator. Treatment plans can vary depending on the type of Termites you have. A pest control professional can do a thorough assessment and prepare a complete treatment plan for you.
